The West Michigan Sustainable Purchasing Consortium (WMSPC) is committed to developing and providing access to professional procurement contracts that support sustainable purchasing in the West Michigan community. Key goals of the WMSPC, particularly for the lower Grand River watershed area, include improving regional environmental quality and stewardship, growing local economies, and increasing social responsibility.

New Master Services Agreements for De-Icers

WMSPC has awarded Master Service Agreements for environmentally preferable de-icers to Wellspring Management and Cryotech. Read more here.

Successful Office Electronics Workshop and E-Waste Collection

On September 16, WMSPC co-hosted a green office electronics workshop with the Responsible Purchasing Network at Cascade Engineering. Participants learned about energy efficiency standards, technical specifications, best practices, policy implications, staff engagement, measuring progress, and recycling electronic waste. Comprenew had a trailer on site to collect e-waste from participants and Cascade employees. 1271 lbs. of e-waste was collected! View the certificate here.
